Neal Morse: Live in Budapest #1

ionilprimaziWe arrived at nap utcai baptista imaház about 2 hours before the show. the church was still locked and we waited outside; after about 30 minutes neal showed up with his family and some guys from his church and he was like “this is the place?”. he got out of the car and then we had a little chat with him, we told him that we were from romania and we came for his show and stuff. that was pretty cool, neal is such a modest, nice and humble guy it was great talking to him. then he got his gear out and we entered the church, and waited for the show to begin, checked merchandise, while neal was doing soundcheck and stuff. sadly they had only cds and dvds [no t-shirts]. anyway, i bought snow by spock’s beard and ? live by neal morse. Actually, neal’s wife lowered the price for me by 200 ft. lol.

He played some acoustic stuff: wind at my back, [from snow], cloud burst, we all need some light, cradle to the grave [with his son will], sing it high, isaiah 60, God won’t give up and some other acoustic songs. My favourite was cloud burst, i never heard it before and it sounds great. Neal also said a few words about how he got into church, how he found God and how God healed his daughter after the doctors found a hole in her heart. Then the local preacher [aka popalor] had a sermon in hungarian so we didn’t understand much. some pics from that evening you can find here. Below you can watch two clips i shot [i did’t have enough space on my memory card to shot the whole thing] cloudburst and we all need some light. anyway, my friends shot more with some camera and we’re planning on making a bootleg dvd.

At the end of the show neal was signing cd covers and i got autographed some. Neal asked us if we’ll stay for the next show also and we said yes of course.
