Porcupine Tree: The Pills I’m Taking

I’m wil­ling to take the risk of being redun­dant but i just feel like wri­ting again about the latest PT’s release. right now i’m lis­te­ning to ‘the pills i’m taking’ from maida vale bbc broad­cast where PT is per­for­ming live a few tra­cks. the pills i’m taking sounds unbe­li­e­va­ble, this is the core of the song ane­sthe­ti­zed, and IMHO, the core of the entire album as well; this sec­tion is just out of bounds, never heard such dense heavy, crazy prog rock, that gathers the pro­gres­sive ele­ments in those 6 minu­tes of music and rea­lly blows you away. anyway, you can lis­ten to this beauty here.

For those of you who don’t know too much about this release, the album deals with issues of the 21^st cen­tury, and kids facing the infor­ma­tion tech­no­logy era, and how this can and will affect them.

on the other hand, PT will per­form in wien [the clo­sest loca­tion from roma­nia] on nov 15^th and i’d rea­lly like to see them. i’m not too happy with the ope­ner though…
