insurgentes is a complex project and it's really hard to embrace all the aspects when writing a review. and right now i don't feel like writing this review.

karmakanic is not really a young band. their first album entering the spectra was released in 2002, and we got it from tsm. i remember i was blown away at that time by the amazing sound of the bass guitar.

I see that you took the occasion to show off again SW`s INSURGENTES =))
[BTW, we are still wiating for the proper review] :P

I have to agree with you that Ins is the best work of the year. The music is great, even if the sound of it could not make an "album" for me. This solo project is awesome.

Neal Morse is probably the best prog music writer alive. But also I agree with the low rank. It seems he does not bring a new vibe but uses more or less the same themes.

I also see 3 young bands being rated. among those maybe I would put the swedish first. In the list there are some bands I never heard of before... I should get into the prog movement :))
